There have always been constant reports of wanderers entering the Backrooms, some of which do not seem to follow the same rules and properties of the places we have documented for years. Today, we finally have an answer to this age-old question.
We believe there is another version of the Backrooms out there—somewhere, somehow. And this is just the first of which. There are possibly more, possibly dozens, thousands, even millions.
Using the reflective mechanics of Level 39, our best researchers have begun to study the properties of these alternate Backrooms—even finding things we never thought were possible—being even more hidden and obscure than the original Backrooms we know of today.

Unlike the Main Branch,
- Rewrites are permitted
- Trimmings are permitted
- Open to change (in general)
- Easier to apply for level approval
You can add a level to the Alternative Branch through a quick check on "level-creations" on our discord server, instead of the tedious process of getting your level accepted on the Main Branch.
