An image of Level 0.5.

Level 0.5 is a sub-level of Level 0, considerably the halfway point between Level 0 and Level 1.

Description

Level 0.5 appears similar to Level 0, but instead of a mono-yellow, the walls are constructed out of concrete and often times painted grey or white. The most noticeable thing in Level 0.5 is the mess of unsorted, confusing, and tangled hallways that make navigation difficult. The sub-level's structure can sometimes be of vertical ascension and descent, with many staircases appearing in random locations leading to higher/lower floors or areas. Many elongated hallways and "pits of doom"—large gaps or holes between flooring that reveals thousands of floors below—show up all around the level.

Entities such as Skin-Stealers, Facelings, and Hounds can be seen in Level 0.5, often near each other or wandering in open spaces, they can appear anywhere, though.

The lights may flicker or blackout for a few hours randomly, so it is advised to carry a flashlight on you in this sub-level. Entities may begin to appear more frequently, so having a weapon beside you for protection and defense is advised.

Colonies and Outposts

M.E.G. (A.K.A. The "Major Explorer Group") Control Point

  • Primary M.E.G. base of operations in Level 0's sub-levels.
  • Located on the floor where wanderers most commonly find themselves in upon entrance.
  • Lightly guarded, more lenient, and less restrictive than other secure bases.
  • Carries out extra supplies sourced from the B.N.T.G. to wanderers before their treacherous journey ahead.
  • Houses around 30 people, ranging from armed guards to medical teams.

Entrances And Exits

To enter, the primary method is to keep walking in any earlier sub-level of Level 0 for a long period of time, in which you will eventually find yourself here, whether it be crossing paths with other sub-levels. There is also a small yet unconfirmed chance of entering Level 0.5 through the employee's only door in Level 0.4. To exit, simply find a dark crimson door with a broken lock and a dim red light above the door frame, then proceed to enter and close the door behind you to enter Level 0.6.
