Level 1,009 is the 1,010th level of the Backrooms and the 10th level of Cluster II.

Description

Level 1,009 is the 1,010th level of The Backrooms. Level 1,009 is a 3-story, wooden home that is very large and surrounded by a circular property, consisting of a Forest, a small Waterfall, and a Wall surrounding the entire property. All furniture is from the Victorian era, circa 1850s, in The Frontrooms. The House consists of 5 bedrooms, one with 15 beds, two master bedrooms, and two with bunk-beds. There is one dining room, and multiple other rooms that are intended to be used for housekeeping chores. A library also exists. Level 1,009 has particularly beautiful nature, with a river going across the entire circular property.

The Level 1,009 Effect

The river of Level 1,009 flows with Almond Water, which is safe to drink and seems to benefit one with two times the benefit of regular Almond Water. However, on very rare occurrence, people have received Neon Water from the river. There are certain consistencies — everyone who has gotten Neon Water has never killed anyone and never stolen from anyone. This includes the entities of The Backrooms. Thus, it is estimated that 1/250,000 people that come to Level 1,009 are viable to receive Neon Water from the river. Although unproven, some believe that you can receive poisonous water if the river deems you a "bad person." When these people enter Level 1,009, the weather worsens. It ranges from cloudy skies to deadly thunderstorms — however, due to unknown properties, The House cannot catch on fire if struck by lightning, or burnt by anyone. Although the weather worsening ranges, none who cause this weather are recommended to drink from the river. People who cause this weather aren't everyone who isn't worthy of Neon Water — only a select few who the river deems as "very bad" cause this weather and the poisonous water. Even though the same river is there, if a wrongful person drinks out of the river at the same time as a "good person," each of them will have different effects — with one getting the affects of Almond Water and one getting the affects of the unknown, poisonous water. Also, a strange, unknown entity is helpful around The House, with random chores being cleaned.

Entities

There is only one entity in Level 1,009, which not much is known about. It is invisible, however does chores and cleans. The members of the Graces have nicknamed it "Grace." The House is very decorated and friendly to living, with food mysteriously being on the table breakfast, lunch, and supper.

Bases, Outposts and Communities

Due to the construction and nature of this Level, only one colony can exist. The colony is known as the Graces, who promise to do no harm that would cause the River to harm them, and if anyone does, then they are exiled from the colony. The colony lives in the house full time — there are over 53 of them, including Impresario of the Major Explorer Group, Leslie Bernadotte.

Entrances And Exits

Entrances

  • Possible entry through exiting Level 68.
  • Level 5,005's Entrance/Exit door has a 50% chance to lead here. It's speculated leftover almond water is dumped into the river from this level.
  • Entry through a rare gate in Level 0.
  • Possible exit of Level 777.
  • There are other, theorized entries into Level 1,009, but none of them are known.

Exits

  • Climbing up The Wall, leaving into Level 237.

More Information

Although climbing up The Wall enters into Level 237, Level 1,009 is not located in the aforementioned level. Also, once one is exiled or leaves Level 1,009, the wall mysteriously disappears and they cannot find it again.
