Level 296 is the 297th level of the backrooms. This level appears to be an infinite supermarket. It seems to be able to function on its own.
Description:
Level 296 is an infinite supermarket which is full of shelving units, checkout sections, and supplies. Level 296 has a lot of different aisles including but not limited to dairy aisles, breakfast aisles, toy aisles, candy aisles, canned goods aisles and condiment aisles. The items found on the shelves of Level 296 are anything you can find in a supermarket in the frontrooms however items found in other levels of the backrooms can also be found on the shelves in Level 296 such as almond water and liquid pain in the drink aisles, squirt guns in toy aisles, etc. Somehow the supplies on the shelves in Level 296 seem to mysteriously restock on their own. The cause of this is unknown although the the M.E.G. is currently researching into how this happens. Even though the source of the unlimited supplies is unknown it has been proven that all food and drinks found in level 296 are safe for consumption.
Opening and closing hours:
Level 296 has an opening and closing cycle. During opening hours all lights are on and the level is safe to explore, During closing hours all lights except for frozen food aisle lights will shut off, making it difficult to traverse due to the darkness. The closing hours can also dangerously affect your sanity. Due to this it's recommended you bring almond water and a flashlight while traversing Level 296.

Entrances And Exits:
Entrances
- Entering a building in Level 11 with glass automatic doors will lead to Level 296.
- Travelling far enough into a store in Level 295 will lead to Level 296.
- Climbing a ladder going into the ceiling in Level -33.1 will lead to Level 296.
Exits
- Going through glass automatic doors will either lead to Level 22 or Level 33.
- Going through warehouse doors will lead to Level 20.
- Some of the freezers can lead to Level 55.
- Finding a manhole will lead to Level -33.1.
- Noclipping anywhere in party aisles will lead you to a party =).
- Walking down an empty aisle will cause the environment around you to transition into Level 296.1.
- Noclipping in a bedding aisle will lead to Level 297.
