Level 324 is the 325th level of the Backrooms. It appears to be an infinite maze similar in design to the inner workings of a clock. It was discovered on 4/25/2026 by an anonymous user.

Description

Level 324 is a maze of gears and cogs1 with mechanisms that never cease, emitting an algorithmic cacophony of mechanical noises and steel clanks. Metals such as iron, copper, gold, and silver make up these gears, often appearing alongside bouts of rust. Beneath the cogs are aged brick walls lined with frosted glass windows, providing ample lighting to the majority of scenes.

Each corridor connects to one another in a way similar to either a grid or system of tunnels. Connecting the different floors are the occasional staircase which can be used to access higher and lower sections. The lower sections typically have less gears and machinery, with temperatures dropping a few degrees each floor. The ground floor is layered in dying grass and moss, and almost no gears. This is considered the safest section of the level. It is unknown if an exterior section exists, due to the windows mentioned previously being indestructible as well as unable to be wiped. Nevertheless, one can almost always hear the faint albeit constant sound of clocks ticking. Small clocks can also be seen propped against some walls, appearing in a variety of sizes and styles.

Rarely, one may come across a landmark in the shape of a large bell. Every few hours, this bell tolls with great force and volume. Any wanderers in a 100 meter radius should cover their ears in the event that the bell tolls. Failure to do so can result in damage to one’s hearing. It still can, however, be used as a meeting place for groups; though one should still learn the time intervals of the tolls.

Entities on Level 324 are rare, only appearing in certain rooms, with some even mentioning that they have seen Entity 151 for a split second. There are also sightings of Death Rats which are specially adapted with heightened spatial senses to avoid getting caught in the machinery.

Entrances and Exits:

Entrances:

  • Finding a clock tower on the outskirts of Level 485 or Level ε will lead you here.
  • No-clipping on Level 287 has a great chance of taking you to this level.
  • You can also no-clip through a clock on Level 937.
  • Being taken by Entity 151 is rumored to take you here as well, with reports of this occurring on Level 64.

Exits

  • The safest and most reliable exit is by finding a door on the lower levels of the complex, which will take you to either Level 10, Level 72, or Level 470.
  • Finding an exit door on the upper floors of the level will take you to Level 485.
  • No-clipping leads to the negative levels.
