Shown here is one of the side walls in the never-ending expanse of Level 340.

Level 340 is an unconfirmed level of the Backrooms.

Description

Level 340 resembles a 90's video rental store about to close, and is believed to be infinite. The shelves are half-empty, and all of the dvd's on the shelves are low-budget rip-offs. Every once in awhile you may come across a television or two hanging from the ceiling or on the floor. These TV's are on, but they only show static. There are also many randomly scattered wooden doors in Level 340, but all of them (except for one) are locked. The only known entities in Level 340 are the Employees. Within Level 340 there are two notable locations, should you be lucky enough to find them:

  • The Employees Only Section
  • The Revolving Doors

Some DVDs found in the store.

The Employees Only Section

Somewhere in Level 340 you may come across a single wooden door with a sign that reads: "Employees Only." If you go through this door you can be taken to Level 340.1, Level 0, Level 708, and in some rare cases, Level 1.

The Revolving Doors

The Revolving Doors of Level 340 are only a rumor. But according to hearsay, The Revolving Doors is a portal not directly connected to Level 340. However, one of its entrances/exits does reside here. For whatever reason it may be, the nature of The Revolving Doors is as such:

If someone from a small town ends up in Level 340, goes past The Revolving Doors, they will come out in Level 10.

If someone from a medium suburb ends up in Level 340, goes past The Revolving Doors, they will come out in Level 9.

If someone from a big city ends up in Level 340, goes past The Revolving Doors, they will come out in Level 11.

In Levels 9 and 11 The Revolving Doors will stay where they are after one has gone through them, granting you access back to Level 340, but things will only appear that way for whoever goes through The Revolving Doors coming from Level 340 to begin with. In Level 10 however, The Revolving Doors will cease to exist after you exit them.

Bases, Outposts and Communities

There are no known bases, outposts or communities on this level

Entrances And Exits

The only known possible entrances to Level 340 are the locked door in The Hub, going through a curtain of beads labelled DVD's on The End, or going through a painting of Level 340 in Level 29. Other entrances however, are highly likely to exist. The only known possible exits from Level 340 are The Employees Only Section and The Revolving Doors.

Attempting to kill an Employee will take you to Level 341
