Level 980 is the 981st level of the Backrooms.
Description
Level 980 is composed of randomly segmented structures with Greek architecture. It is thought to be the same distance from Level 954 than real Greece is from the United States. The whole level is outdoors, with constant fog and a slight rain going on. The size of Level 980 is presumed to be infinite, as the farthest anybody has went was approximately 5,396 miles. The common structures you can find here are fountains along with pools, statues, stairways and gardens. The rare structures are churches and palaces. The only confirmed entities that roam Level 980 are female Deathmoths.
The statues here are made of marble and depict Greek mythological beings and emperors. They usually appear everywhere, being as small as 1 foot, to as large as 300 feet. One M.E.G. operative has seen one of the statues' eyes move and stare at him wherever he goes and many witnesses confirmed this. The fountains here are as common as statues, having an amount of 1-18 per pool. The pools here are cold, but have fresh, safe-to-drink water. The size the pools can go up to is as small as 9 square yards, up to as large as the perimeter of The Frontrooms Vatican City. The entirety of Level 980 is on an endless hill which is 22°, which makes stairways common thing here, and connect to all listed structures. The last of the common structures are gardens, which have grass, bushes and olive, pine or fig trees.
One of much rarer structures are churches, being fully functional with all of a typical church supplies & furniture. Note: The churches are the only structures that female Deathmoths can spawn in. Other rare structures are palaces, which are the largest structure of Level 980. They have no furniture or any props at all. The amount of floors that the palaces have are 2-8 with corridors, rooms, balconies, and even dungeons.
Bases, Outposts and Communities
Starlight Point
The Starlight Point is located in a palace of Level 980, not far from the entry point. They consist of 4 people, and their goal here is to map out a perimeter of 100 square miles.
Backroom Colonists
The Backroom Colonists are located in a palace surrounded by some other buildings, and the group is currently building up this outpost. It consists of 26 people, but more people can occasionally come.
Entrances And Exits
Entrances
No-clipping through the various pools in Level 979 has a chance to take you to this level. This level can also be accessed from Level 51 by finding a large staircase leading upwards with an unlocked marble door at the end.
Exits
To exit, you can no-clip through the floor in the secret room of the palace to go to Level 981, or finding an unlocked marble door with a large staircase leading downwards to go/return to Level 51.
