One of the many beaches spread all over Level -44's desert, photograph taken during dawn.
Level -44 is the 45th Negative Level of The Backrooms.
Description
Level -44 is an ever-expanding desert with many beaches spread throught its shores; seemingly extending off as far as the Level's desert goes. Tables with umbrellas and deckchairs are all aligned in the flat sands of the Level, there is no deckchair out of alignment, and no footsteps in the sand; always implying that you are the first, and only person to enter Level -44.
Upon entering Level -44, one shall feel very light rain even if the sky has no clouds, the rain will be oddly warm upon contact, we dont have any hope of figuring out why and how the rain is warm, as it can only form in low temperatures. Said rain can get more and more intense over time, up to the point where it will drench the entire Level, and then abruptly stopping just to start raining lightly again, repeating the cycle. Rain intesifies randomly and does not seem to have any sort of pattern to it.
The sun in Level -44 seems to be acting the same way as in the north pole, it will try to set in the horizon, just to then rise back up to the sky; this cycle seems to repeat itself forever, leaving the Level in constant day and dawn no matter the circumstances.
During the day, the Level reaches up to 40°C, while at dawn it lowers down to about 15°C, more or so half the Level's original temperature. Despite the Level being around 40°C, the light rain helps your body to cool down a little, avoiding heat exhaustion and heat strokes.
Along with the rain of the Level, the ocean also seems to be warm, but this time it can be explained simply because the of the sun, as it is always present no matter what, the water will absorb the heat the sun produces and gradually warm up, however it never reaches a boiling point, as dawn is usually chilly.
The desert of Level -44 can only be accessed through the beach, it is formed exactly how a desert should, however, it is more flat than usual; that is because the Level barely has any wind, and when wind does blow, it only forms light dunes. Random umbrellas or deckchairs can be found throught the desert, as if a beach had failed to form, usually the deckchairs are filled with grains of sand, while the umbrellas are left open, casting a shadow on the floor for those who need a break from the heat of Level -44's desert.
