An image of a Warp Tear taken in Level 13.

Warp tears, also known as "rifts" are various tears that appear in the fabrics of reality.

Description:

Typically appearing on surfaces as holes, or simply floating in mid-air, this phenomenon is incredibly useful as a means of no-clip. Upon closer inspection, one can find tiny light particles similar in appearance to stars. Warp tears often emit a low "humming" noise when nearby, signaling wanderers to use them. Walking or jumping through a warp tear typically initiates the transportation.

Warp tears can be found all across the Backrooms, however they are quite rare. Appearing most commonly on Level 13, Level 11, Level 9, and Level 6, they typically lead to random locations in the Backrooms, and should be used with caution. A potential link between Level 13 and Level 21 has been researched, due to their connections through these warp tears.

To use Warp Tears to your advantage, simply listen for a low, pulsing, humming noise. They are quite rare, but once you are in the vicinity of one, listen closely to the environment behind the warp tear, and attempt to accurately guess the level that it leads to. Most likely they will lead to Level 21, however this is not always the case. It is advised to be cautious when using warp tears, as they can potentially lead to more dangerous locations in the Backrooms.
